Headgear - Does it Require Tzitziot?

About this learning series

Parashath Noah, Laws of Ziziyoth, Page 17:
9. (cont'd) [Odh Yosef Hai (2) Headgear does not require ziziyoth, even though it has four corners.

(This is because the Torah stipulates (Devarim 22:12) 'your garment with which you cover {yourself}' which our Sages z'l explain to exclude headgear, which is not intended to cover the body.)

Even headgear which happens to hand gown below the shoulders, and with which one can, and does, cover most of one's body, is also exempt, since it is primarily intended only to cover the head.

This learning should be in memory of Maran, HaRav HaGaon Ovadia Yosef, ztz'l.
